On February 1, a group of 18 pupils and 6 teachers gave a well-received performance at the FOSCO Annual Foreign Diplomatic Conference. Opening up the conference, the group performed two choreographed songs starting with ‘What a Wonderful World’ and segueing into ‘Johnny B. Goode’. They were accompanied by live music provided by 4 of the teachers from FOSCO School.
Honored to be representing their school, the students danced as well as singing, and the hours of practice they had all put in paid off. The guests, including members from foreign embassies and consulates, and representatives from a number of international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and foreign representative offices in Ho Chi Minh City, all thoroughly enjoyed the group’s energetic presentation.
After the performance had finished, the pupils and teachers were each presented with small gifts by Mr. Le Thanh Liem, Member of the Standing Committee of HCMC Party’s Committee, First Deputy Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Deputy Director General of the Service Department for the Diplomatic Corps from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hoang Thuy Duong, Deputy Director General of the Service Department for the Diplomatic Corps from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Madam Leow Siu Lin, Consul General of the Republic of Singapore and Dean of the Consular Corps in HCMC, and Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan, Secretary of FOSCO’s Party Committee and Chairman of the FOSCO Board of Members.
